We are a family-owned shop in Gerrards Cross offering a carefully curated selection of books, unique gifts and delightful stationery for all ages and interests.
Continuing a tradition of more than 30 years on the high street, our mission is to create a warm and welcoming space where everyone can find something special, whether it's a new bestseller, a classic read or a thoughtful gift for a loved one.
Our little team is passionate about literature and creativity, always eager to share recommendations and insights to help you find exactly what you need. We offer our customers a range of books for all ages - from children's books that spark the imagination to classic literature that inspires.
A special selection of gifts feature local British artists and craftspeople, and we offer a range of elegant wrapping supplies for special moments. Our greeting card section is smaller, but very special - we hope you'll find there's no better selection in town.

About Us
We're Jennifer and Nigel, and we've been living in Gerrards Cross for 12 years. Originally from Canada, we moved to the UK 17 years ago and have raised our children here.
Both of us are keen readers, and it's been a dream of Jen's to run a bookshop. The name Crocus stems not only from the beautiful flowers of early spring, but also from the provincial flower of Manitoba, Jen's home province.
We've always believed in the importance of a vibrant high street, and you'll definitely see us walking Charlie the border terrier up the road. If you're passing by the shop, stop by for a visit and a chat! We look forward to seeing you soon.
